Did some boat work today. The weather was great ..So I had to go fishing this afternoon..Left the bait barge at 130 with a fat scoop of the killer Chovies..Started at the pipe my son caught a nice 3 lb calico..That was the only bite we got at the pipe..Water was a clean green..Took off up to The Point Dana Point ...Water was super clean smoking downhill current.I through a scoop of that chovie and it was like the fish had not been feed in weeks..Watch it on FB live..It was good a bass a cast for about 30 minutes..Son had enough ,Not really a 300 lb Black ate his two pound Calico so then he was done...We got three for dinner. Kelly is cooking Tacos. So I got to go eat...Should be a fun weekend at Dana with the Chovies..

Sounds like a fun day with your son Dave. Thanks for the report.

Must have been cool to see the BSB gobble the bass, at least for you, terrifying to your son.

The checkers were boiling. I watched it live as I paid bills. I hate you.

The BSB are so thick in that area, and so cool. Is it time for a limited tag lottery perhaps with a slot?

One per fisherman per year. Pay a extra $20 to DFG and get one serial numbered tag one time use type so it can't be used more than once. Tag has to be attached the fish until processed.
