I thought about it. It’s maybe four or six cubic feet when all is said and done. The ability to monitor and repair any leaks seems to be much more important to me than a little additional floatation. My bow is section is empty and I’d rather fill that with foam than put it back in the stern.
Thanks. Sounds like a major ordeal, but you got 'er done. I am not sure I would want smaller hoses for the drains, so completely replacing the hoses sounds like the best scenario to me. You are doing it right. Again, great job.
I ended up redoing it because the original decal doesn't use the number 1, and when my non designers eye didn't pick up on that I thought I was good. When I put my first version up against the original on the boat it showed itself. The number really messed up the spacing. Now it's right. Who knew logo designers did that???
What engine is on that? And what are the main differences between the 216 and 226? How much tab did you need to use with the bracket and what height did you mount it? Sorry for all the questions. Glad you got decent money for the boat though.
250 HP Yamaha , Trim Tab use depends on gear fuel people and other factors but I don't use much Trim. Couldn't tell you how high I mounted the bracket, sorry. Mounting height depends on bracket angle and many brackets have different angles.
Cliff... You will need a custom cover. Try Harbor Custom Canvas in Long Beach -- good work, tight fit, but not cheap.

When I was considering doing the same I searched high and low for hatches that would fit but came up empty. Finally just replicated the teak and am happy with the results.
Corbin... Just DM'd you. I used Bomar watertight plastic hatches from West Marine. Get the ones closest to the existing door cutout. You will need to fill in the corners a bit with some Marine Tex -- easy job -- as the radius is different. No cutting necessary. You can also order custom doors in King Starboard from Boat Outfitters -- https://www.boatingmag.com/story/how-to/replacing-old-teak-doors-and-frames-on-a-boat/. These will be more expensive than the Bomar hatches, but will be a perfect fit.

You need to unbolt the seat console and slide it back to access the sending unit.Does anyone have experience with the fuel sending unit? the access point is about 6" inches away, and I only have about 4" of clearance to the deck... Option 1- Cut a new access hatch
