Holy crap!!! Sorry to hear that Jim. A simple cough is a new adventure in pain with bum ribs. Hope you heal fast, and all turns out OK.

I apologize Jim, I was picture booking it and just read the rest! I’m so glad you’re ok. That’s scary. Lots of broken big bones is gnarly. Glad you’re ok

Oh chit, sorry to hear about your crash. I just sold my gravel bike. I prefer mtn biking because speeds are generally lower and less chance of getting run over. Always wear a helmet, feel naked without it.

Keep healing and get that boat on the water asap!

So are you back at lower woodmont? Where are you kerplunking at? Is this a shakedown cruise, then return to the shop or is this an ownership cruise? Goodluck...

What props are you running?
My boat (all be it only 8.5 beam) is most efficient at about 22-23knts turning 3600rpm gets about 2.5nmpg.
But the boat "feels" like it wants to run faster and likes to run at 26-27knts, but the economy is lower.

My Motors like 3600, but boat likes 4000.. are you seeing the same or is your economy best at that higher RPM?

Here’s my sweet spot.

I was thinking you’d see 2.0 or slightly better.

my boat runs super flat. There isnt much bow rise or roll over feeling when going up on step.

on a nasty ocean on Thursday I got 2.3mpg on our halibut run. Almost makes me giddy when I fill up & crunch the numbers.

Im running 17p Reliance props

Are you running twin F150's @ 2.5

If Tomic is running F200 @ 2.0

That would seem reasonable. 13.5 gph sounds pretty damn good to me. When I had twin 250's back in 2006 I remember1.4 as normal economy.

Soooooo, I’m running my props reversed of what is the conventional duals are. As in counter and standard rotation drawing from outside. I’m running at 25-27 knots at 13.5 gph. Very happy with the numbers
i may have, to try that, stay tuned but it ain’t happening soon. 2 nmpg is excellent numbers for the older Sounder hull. my 24 w 8,6” beam and a Yami 250 turned in 2.5. 18 defree bottom, no real chine flats...
