Nicely done Paul! I have a Graphfighter ML - I know exactly what you mean. You may want to try one of those sale rods from West Marine - I hear they are strong.

    Hael yeah Paul!!

Your time on the water is paying off big!!

You can scratch the upper double digit fatty off your list now. Now it's time for the Hundy plus. I think I'd put money that you will get it done this year!! :D

Have you guys tried fishing these tuna with stickbaits and shimano Stella's? Nice setup would be a Stella 10000sw spooled with 60 lb JB hollow core with end loop and use windon leader of about 80-100 lb....The 60lb JB hollow actually has ABS over 90lbs so you can easily use 20-25lb of drag. This is how we fish the big BfT in cape cod when I was living out there, I am looking to get on a fish here this year using same technique. I know west coast fishermen make fun of coffee grinders but I've hooked and landed 200+ lb bft on this setup. I only bring this up because it seems like the fish you were on were line shy and working the stickbait/swim bait is triggering more of a reactionary bite... Can get a bit more expensive though as you have to run and gun and use more fuel. I'm hoping to get out there and catch a few on the coffee grinder this year.... Congrats on your catch, very nice fish for that line class.

It's starting to remind me of Panama around here with the quality of fish. Don't forget those poppers-you can use heavier gear with those and 100 lb. leaders (as you know). Keep it up Paul.
