I had a friend approach me and asked for a custom spinning rod for long range trips. He wanted some Brazilian flag colors incorporated to the build. I used the BNEX72/30-50 with Duragrips and Ti-Forged titanium guides. I like how the colors on the diamond wrap came out and I thought it would be interesting to use a different color thread for each guide foot.
I was wrong! I am going.to go a totally different direction with the under wrap and guides. I plan on cutting it off and starting fresh. There was way to much metallic blue and not enough of the other colors. On of the joys of rod building is see those es threads pop under a sharp razor blade.
