Hi Guys was thinking of spooling my Fathom 25N with 60# Seaguar Threadlock to the brim and fish short top shots of 40# for live bait. I am hoping to get >300 yards of braid the the reel... Has anyone else used Threadlock on their Fathom 25N? If so, what kind of capacity did you get? Thanks for your insight in advance!

I don’t have experience with threadlock, but with 12# of tension, I was able to get 400 yards of Izorline #65 solid on mine to the top. You should have no problem getting over 300.

My other reels I have Izor and JB and like them but a guy at turners who seemed in the know highly recommended the threadlock so figured I would give it a try...

I like mine brim full of #65 PowerPro so I can saw through kelp. The coarse finish of PP helps in that regard.

Around 375 yards of 60lb hollow ace on mine and packed tight. I was originally going to load it with 50lb Threadlock due to it's breaking strength over other lines. But, i had extra line sitting around and didn't want it to go to waste plus saved some $'s for other gear. You should be ok with 60lb Threadlock.
