I am designing and building a swim step/kicker motor mount for the Bertram and I’m looking for some measurements for your kicker motors.

What height is the top of your bracket sitting measured from the waterline?

Anyone grab me some quick measurements ?

Are you going to use a "Long" or "Extra Long" shaft kicker?

Top of bracket to water line on mine is 15”. I use an XL kicker. Powerhead stays well out of the water, even on rougher days.

You can stack bay kits for days. An XL Yamaha 9.9 HT is 25”. You can make it a 30” with a bay kit.

After owning a bracketed boat, I’m a big proponent of 30” shaft engines. Get the power heads up higher and keep them out of the water
