A little controversy is always good for the ratings.

I have already boycotted the NFL since the Chargers left... except for when the Patriots play, then I enjoy watching them lose... :D

Rarely watch the game. Usually in my garage listening on the radio. But this year the priority just hasn't been there.

Please explain why someone can be defined as a “clown” simply because they decide not to watch a football game?

I am thinking most folks realize that as an individual they have little “affect” on the league. I’m also thinking most of us clowns are satisfied with what little Effect we are having.:D

Knowing wils, he is likely trying to sell us the Tacoma Narrows bridge, not the one over the water, the one laying on the bottom.:D

Forced patriotism seems un-American, land of liberty home of the brave is only true if one can practice that liberty without fear of reprisal.

Subject boycott is not being forced. Boycotting is very American and can hardly be classified as fearful reprisal. Other than that, the post was spot on.;)

Standing for the National Anthem is respect for our country. Of course, one of our greatest freedoms gives everyone the right to disrespect the Country, by saying whatever they want, by burning the flag, kneeling during the national anthem or whatever. In my experience, few conservatives have no problem with that -- ironically, most libs want exception to the First Amendment for when their feelings are hurt. Its just that I don't have any respect for anyone that doesn't respect our country, or who enable others to disrespect the country (as the NFL owners / coaches / players association does), so I have no interest in watching the NFL. Just like some actors are so outspoken in their stupidity, I can't enjoy watching their movies. So I don't.
