Just got done watching Boondock Saints and it brings up a preety legit moral issue. is it ok to kill if the people that are being killed are bad people? For example if someone went around hunting these no dick fuckers that drive around on the freeways just shooting random people, would they be a bad person? basically is it ok to kill those that deserve to be killed. or should we just let the system handle it?

That's just not the way it works in our modern society. Vigilantism is against the law. Period. We as a society have made the collective decision to leave law enforcement up to the authorities. Two wrongs don't make a right.

I agree with you Smudge. Unfortunately, our modern society tends to protect our criminals. I understand we only hear about the extreme cases and the great majority of the scumbags get what they deserve. But you saw how in Florida they had to pass a law saying it was ok, no longer against the law, to protect yourself. Do we have that law here?

I here of people saying they are going to, or are already, carrying guns for protection while driving. I feel sorry for the person that is made to be an example of, labeled as a vigilante and gets the book.

BUT, if someone pulls up next to you, shoots and then speeds away… The time it takes you to grab your gun and shoot back........ Well it seems to me that it is no longer protection but in fact retaliation. Now we're back to two wrongs.

I praise law enforcement. TOUGH JOB! I fear the rookie, over zealous DA that wants to make a name for them self.
I could just imagine someone pulling a gun on me, me slamming on the brakes and diving across the seat and jerking the wheel while I did so. Then clipping the tail end of the scumbags car, sending them in to a tail spin resulting in a fiery crash killing the scum inside the car........
Then going to jail for vehicular man slaughter.

  8. The McManus brothers are the shit.
Can't wait to see part The Second Coming. It's supposedly going to hit the thaters sometime this year.

I don't think it's ok to take the law into your own hands, but if I was faced in a situation where my family or myself was threatend and extreme danger was imminent, i'd shoot first and ask questions later. Kind of off topic.

What about 'Death Wish', starring Charles Bronson? Old movie but the message still applies.
