a handful of us are going to make the 50nm run west to the southern edge of the water that’s connected to what’s off of Bragg. The past 2 days SST’s have a really fantastic edge running all the way up to pt arena...should be loaded! If anyone wants to run with let me know!

Love to make that run! Never ran for albies before just starting to learn the different techniques and rigging for them! Need to do some more shopping.....

Make the run with us we have the same hull! There's about 3 of us coordinating a run together. There's a boat out there currently who POUNDED 38.27' by 124.20' for 6 hours on AIS. 60nm from Bodega.
Hit me up if you want some pointers...outdoor pro shop has EVERYTHING you could ever dream of needing for albacore.

Wish I could really do, just had our first kid 2 weeks ago so I’m taking some time off, I did get a hall pass for last Saturday and picked up some nice salmon at duxbury... yes outdoor pro shop is amazing! I went up there about a month ago.... let’s keep in touch I probably can make a run in a couple more weeks when things calm down here at the house!

    congrats on the baby!!!

Next week there could be a window as well. Right now there's a commercial boat hammering the area we were going to run to and confirmed they are in the tuna. Things are shaping up well for tomorrow!

Have you learned about the weak buffalo theory for tuna fishing? The numbers come from the triples and quads, not the singles. I got way too many singles yesterday for some reason, odd for what we normally do.

So, any fish counts from yesterday? You guys plug the boat? Really hoping to get another chance at some local fish.

Do you have any trips planned for tuna over Labor Day- depending on the weather of course

You should always get doubles, trips etc.. when running same color gear. Usually singles are when you run mixed assortment of lures, Mexican flag, purple, Rasta, and zucchini. I only run all zucchini or purple black on all rods and meat lines, usually when I get one I get multiples. Oh and cedar way back... I am always learning though, and this is something that I picked up off a website while back and hasn't failed me yet.

I was running all 6 shooters with triple skirts in zucchini color...which is why it was super weird we got so many singles
