This place is no secret and I'm sure has been posted before. I like to watch this when I start complaining about the Camano launches...

Probably a dumb question, but there's really nowhere else to launch? I'd almost be more entertaining watching that process than the retrieval.

If I had to do that shit I would be running a dory like on the Oregon coast. Time a big wave and put her high and dry out of harms way then winch her on to the trailer.

I have never seen that but it was absolutely awesome! Thanks for posting!

....and those guys move a hell of a lot faster than most of the guys at the wp launch!

A couple of those trailers sure look flimsy used under those conditions.

And speaking of conditions those guys doing the wrangling should be getting danger pay-and lots of it.

I usually raise my outdrives before I hit the beach... :D

This is how you're supposed to do it...

+1 I would be running a dory that is designed for beaching.

Something tells me this was an odd day with the wind kicking up a swell.

I cant see guys ever launching there if the sea was consistently that bad.

I hope those were rental boats! Yikes!

Once those boats are beached how many people does it take to slide them back into the water and how do they keep the waves from coming in over the stern filling the boat?

A beached boat is probably lifted mechanically/dragged onto it's trailer, launching is probably done in the early AM when it's calmer.

Too bad they didn't have an xtaero. I heard they can ride a wave and drop on a trailer on a dime.

Reminds me when someone told me it'd be a good idea to launch on the Purdy spit when it was calling for a western wind.....

I've been on boats launched at Deep Creek many times. It's a fucking blast/scares the shit out of you depending on the day. Those poor bastards handling the log skidders and guys on the trailers are amazing. This is not a launch for rookies. You may get launched but it's a mother fucker coming back at in full throttle and hoping you hit the trailer correctly!

    Duh,
We are a little more refined and don't just go bashing our boats into their trailers on the beach. We bought our Clorox bottles because we enjoy a nice smooth ride. If I am ever that desperate to catch fish I'll call a buddy with a tin can and it can be made into beer cans when we're done.:finger:

Could you please pass the Grey Poupon.
