The gunwale is the rail surrounding the vessel. I noticed in the video it was about ankle high towards the back of the boat, rather than knee high to lean on. Just takes a little more balance, that's all. You guys handled it nicely.
It takes some getting used to, It's a different feeling standing eight inches off the water.
Thank you Steve

Sorry but the dude in the green shirt is a major liability!
I'd take a shot at gaffing my own fish!
Captain kicked ass IMO. Kept his cool and made the guy gaff until he got it done. That's how ya learn keep trying and keep doing it...... even then it's easy to still screw up at times.

Very nice job. Way to keep your cool on the missed gaff shot. Everyone's gotta learn at some point.

Awesome video. I always look foward to your reports as you have a 30 minute video attached with it. Awesome job and Grats fishing all alone!

Hopefully more videos to come? I subbed to your YouTube channel.

It sounded like he was his nephew and that he was teaching him the ropes. Didn't even get angry when they lost one. Cant learn to gaff w/o losing a few. Wish I had an uncle like that. Nice work Cory on teaching and passing on the stoke to the younger guys!
Thank you for that Ryan

We had the same issues on Saturday at the 209, but we only had medium sized mackerel and no anchovies. Tuna everywhere but no takers on the mack. Really frustrating! Friday was the opposite....crappy weather, small anchovies and deep tuna. Soaking a small chovy is tough. Honestly, if we had sardines both days, we would have had some better luck.

It is really frustrating, and you can work your butt off and just sit there and watch. My cameras run all day and if you saw what was edited, you would see me very frustrated and trying everything. Thank you for your report Jeff, I appreciate it !

Have any of you tried the Ron-Z swimbait? I wondered with boiling tuna around if that bait would elicit a strike?
