We launched out of Dana Point thinking there bait was better then San Diego's. When we pull up to the receiver the bait guy said 1 inch Anchovy and 9 inch Mackerel. We got a ugly scoop of 1 inch Anchovy and a half scoop of 9 to 12 inch Macks. Just short of the 209 we see pudding Bluefin under Tern birds. I just shut down and started chumming the Anchovy hard. The mixed school of Bluefin and Yellowfin climbed right up our chum line and stayed with us until we were out of bait. There was three Sardines mixed with the Macks and they all produced a Tuna. We got one on the smallest mack in the tank and one on the biggest Anchovy we could find. If we had Sardines we could have plugged the boat. All the Tuna were caught on 20 pound and a 2/0 hook. The Anchovy fish was a number 4 hook on a bobber. There is some good video of the tuna boiling next to the boat.

"The Anchovy fish was a number 4 hook on a bobber"...sshhhh you're letting the secret out on how to fish anchovies...hehehe..Good job on the tuna

Sorry but the dude in the green shirt is a major liability!
I'd take a shot at gaffing my own fish!
It sounded like he was his nephew and that he was teaching him the ropes. Didn't even get angry when they lost one. Cant learn to gaff w/o losing a few. Wish I had an uncle like that. Nice work Cory on teaching and passing on the stoke to the younger guys!

Now that was a great trip, but they are right about the gunnels on that boat. It's hard to use the rail when it's two inches tall!
You guys need to standup like men! My back hurts just looking at you all bent over like that! Lean back lean back!

Forget girlie girl porn at lunchtime at work, I'm liking the Reel Bros. videos...always great, great vids...if you weren't pulling in tuna, I'd say with that calm water you had to be at Lake Powell...'preciate the videos Reel Bros....

The gunwale is the rail surrounding the vessel. I noticed in the video it was about ankle high towards the back of the boat, rather than knee high to lean on. Just takes a little more balance, that's all. You guys handled it nicely.
It takes some getting used to, It's a different feeling standing eight inches off the water.
Thank you Steve

Captain kicked ass IMO. Kept his cool and made the guy gaff until he got it done. That's how ya learn keep trying and keep doing it...... even then it's easy to still screw up at times.
