We launched out of Dana Point thinking there bait was better then San Diego's. When we pull up to the receiver the bait guy said 1 inch Anchovy and 9 inch Mackerel. We got a ugly scoop of 1 inch Anchovy and a half scoop of 9 to 12 inch Macks. Just short of the 209 we see pudding Bluefin under Tern birds. I just shut down and started chumming the Anchovy hard. The mixed school of Bluefin and Yellowfin climbed right up our chum line and stayed with us until we were out of bait. There was three Sardines mixed with the Macks and they all produced a Tuna. We got one on the smallest mack in the tank and one on the biggest Anchovy we could find. If we had Sardines we could have plugged the boat. All the Tuna were caught on 20 pound and a 2/0 hook. The Anchovy fish was a number 4 hook on a bobber. There is some good video of the tuna boiling next to the boat.
"The Anchovy fish was a number 4 hook on a bobber"...sshhhh you're letting the secret out on how to fish anchovies...hehehe..Good job on the tuna
