What do you mean ? It’s coated in expoxy or something to keep it protected if that’s what you’re asking

I have never seen anything on a Turks head... it looked like silicone or vaseline.

If you want nylon or cotton Turks to last and especially if colors are used, they should be color preserved andor coated with UV protectant epoxy, just like guide wraps. See pics.
The black/ red done is coated, this red and white one was later coated, I can't find the pic.

Interesting... None of mine are done, and I can't recall ever seeing it coated. Learned something. That said I think I like mine uncoated.

His does look like shit, but let’s be real here. Moons works is flawless, I own several moon wrapped rods. A couple with the Turks epoxied. They haven’t faded from the sun yet. They see a LOT of sun during the summer. This rod is flawless and I have seen the same rod for sale at 22nd street landing last fall. I think it had a $450 price tag

Never said moons work was anything but top notch. Moon’s a friend and I have mad respect for his work . All my rods ride in my T top all summer long banging around and yes in the sun never had an issue with any of the turks. This rod is a perfect example of what happens when people get epoxy happy. It flakes and peels !! Turks that are coated look like shit period!!

I didn’t post this rod for people to give their opinions and start a 100 page thread about what they do and don’t like about it . This rod was posted to be sold . Don’t like it? Don’t buy it , don’t like something you see ? Move on ...
