So it's open due to some dedicated people that cleaned up the sites......thanks Mike!

Let's keep it clean so we don't loose it all together.

Good to hear. What are some safer areas to go shoot at?

If anyone is interested in coming out to BLM land to clean and shoot responsibly, just let me know.
We will be out there soon, and post upcoming events on SDMust.org

Good luck finding a turkey this year Mike it's been tuff down here. Hopefully someone will step up with some private land and take you out.

So, what areas are open? When is the next clean up party?

BLM land in San Diego County is currently open. There are several locations in the southeastern part of the county where we can currently shoot .
If anyone wants to know where to go, we usually have guides available for a small donation, or you can come to one of our events where we share the information. We are planning our next big clean up some time in February or March . But we wkllmokely have some smaller ones coming up In The next few weeks. There will also be a meet and greet soon where we will discuss our plans for the year. Once the dates and times are set, they will be posted on our Facebook page , and website
    Www.sdmust.org.
I will try to post them here as well. In the mean time , anyone looking for a spot can message me here or brought the website contact link .

This is fantastic news! Many thanks to those who made this happen! Maybe a little back story on why it was closed in the first place and what it took to get opened back up?

I’ve been super bummed that BLM has been closed as my son and I love to shoot and ranges are far too intimidating for a boy.

So I’m assuming Otay Mtn and McCain Valley are now open?

Unfortunately McCain valley is not open again. We have been trying to keep the land we currently have open to stay open . Hopefully I’d we get enough financial support and volunteers , we can work on opening preciously closed areas in the future . But we have been cleaning our public shooting areas since 2003. Contacted mw directly if y would like to know more info.

Is there a map available for open areas vs closed?
