The 200+ pounders, which that definitely is, came in four rough grades. The barely 200s, the 220s, the 230-245s, with a few schools holding fish around 250, and the 270-279s.

That one looks to me like a bigger 230-240, might be one of the 250 models. I don't think it looks quite as chunky as the 270s, but it might be, I'm really just guessing. Nice one!! Did you weigh any other cows for reference?

It appeared that you had a second leader with a hook on it. Were you running two flyers off of one rod. In other words, did you have two flyers skipping together?

Thanks and agreed to the diff schools!

I actually only measured one fish the whole season...adn it was a 140lber. Since i always launch out of Shelter island, its really hard to weigh fish. Such a hassle to pull into the fuel dock, at a certain time. We did it twice last year, but went on closed days early in week. Forgot what the schedule was like.

I saw this on some youtube video where you cut the gills out from both sides, then simply cut a whole in the anus, stick your finger in there and a lining comes out; cut that, then all of the guts come out easily so the organs don't heat up the fish.

Ill do a video this upcoming season on how to do it. (my method is not perfect but it works)

Thanks! It takes a lot of time and extra effort to capture these moments. From extra batteries, charging batteries, different mounts, memory cards, lighting, etc....

Im not a fan, of just keeping the go pro mounted. Its tough, but fun to re watch.....
