Wicked Tuna in SoCal. Just Awesome!
Dude, If someone tied up the boat with a fish like that when I was on it, I wouldn't care at all. It'd be fun watching him battle that thing.....
Gnarly catch.. any guesses on the weight?
owwwww, my back, my hernia.....just looking at this picture makes my parts hurt. Nice catch.
Hey, you in the back, get out of the picture.
Just booked the last spot on the Top Gun for next week. That fish will have the Utah boys loosing sleep for the next week til we get our shot! That awsome!!!
i'd say 110-120 lbs...
reply #38. 126 pounds on the dock.
I am just picturing this young mans feelings at the dock scale with all of the people admiring his catch. What a once in a lifetime catch
I Caught that fish! Best day of my life haha.. now im hooked on tuna fishing
Also it took me about 45 min. fish were still boiling around the boat for most of the fight and people were hooking fish for over an hour after we stopped on that spot.
Heres some more pic
PS THIS WAS IN JULY. 2015...Malahini hasn't been out since Nov.13th
That was July 2015
Yeah so it was last year. But just look at the rod and reel he caught it with!!!! That deserves applause. It's not like the Tanner bank guys using 80-100 lb leader on spectra.
Way to go!.
Hope you caught some this year too.
It was not caught on the spinning Rod. people should read before posting....kind of lessens the Internet service credibility
Wow. Guilty as charged. I didn't read the whole thread since it was over a year old. The pic he posted certainly made it look like that was the gear he used.
Correction. Not landed with the trout gear!
Still a great fish and great job of bringing in the fish.
Epic thread comeback of the year !!!!!
FAAAAAAK JAY! IT"S A BABY WHEEEEELLLFIIISHHHH! we gotta save it! call the coast gaaawwwd! we're gonna be on the news! we come all the way out here, and YOU CALL THAT A HOOK?
Then again--if he planned it, luck had nothin to do with it. Wish we knew more about when/where
