I know this has been beat to death but have to ask.

You folks out chasing these things, what bag limit are you exercising and why?

I called DFW to verify whether or not the recommended changes have went into affect. They referred me to the "supplemental" handbook and it clearly shows nothing has changed yet. They then transferred my call to a Ms. Lea Hoffman, her billet escapes me at the moment, and I asked specific questions and she will call me right back.

My position: If she, or someone else from that office, doesn't return my call I'm running with the bag limit of 10.

    Thought's?

    Thank you.

Edit: Yes, I'm talking about US limits.

I'd like the limit to be the same as the commercial fleet.
Why should they get the lions share when we pay a bunch of money for fishing licenses/fuel/gear/supplies,boats,etc.
-We drive the local economy - by spending (and paying taxes on the above mentioned items.)

or reduce commercial take and allow us mere mortals to fish using the sustainable methods we are restricted to.
(Hook and Line - 1 at a Time)
    ---------------
Although most people will only get a shot at 1 fish - There may be a day when you hit that lotto number and can actually catch a few more - leave the friggen limit alone.

The limit will be 2 as soon as they start biting like those 150 spot YT's last week.

For all that don't know how this works, untill the federal government changes the regulation the limit is ten. When the final rule comes down from the Feds, then the rules in Cal will go to 2. Untill then the limit is ten.

sounds boring, I would like to get enough for me and my family, that can't always get out. We've always said "the tribe would have gotten rid of us years ago", so you got to capitalize when the rarity of an wfo bite occurs , especially with the cost to do this wonderful sport, just me.

I just checked the DFG site and noticed that the current status of this Proposed Regulation is listed as "Withdrawn" as of June 2nd ...? ( link is below ) Interesting... ? Not sure what that means but it does not say " Goes into Effect July 1st" like I have been told. Either way... I'm keeping more than 2 if luck is on our side this weekend.
