Offshore BFT 6/7/22

Had an awesome day out on the water today. Out of HB so it was a long run down south. Made it to the 302 and got the CaliMade lures spreader bars out to start covering ground. Not long after that (at 32 21 over 117 34) we have our first mark and 20 second later we are bit on the directional spreader. Started to see breezer popping up here and there. They wanted to chew today! Got ahead of the breezer giving them some space then turned on them to run the bars near it and hooked up literally every time doing this. From 11 am - 1 pm put 7 fish on the boat. After 1 PM breezers fizzled out couldn’t find any more. Kept at it and decided we would call it at 2. 1:59 right when we were about to bring them in we get hit again and put the 8th fish on the deck then headed back to HB. 2 fish on the directional bar about 70ish yards back and 6 on the straight back about 150 yards back. All on the pink, didn’t run any of my other colors. All Fish within 2 miles of our starting point. 30-60 pounders, no really big ones today. Hope this helps! Wasn’t terrible but definitely not good! Maybe a little more spread out than that but some big rollers for sure. Luckily not too much wind. Ride home started off pretty bad but actually got nice half way through.

Got my CaliMade spreader in the mail a few days ago. Buddy and I drove down from Bay Area and are headed out tomorrow. Fingers crossed.

Left the dock yesterday at 4am. left the fishing zone at 2pm and didn’t get done cleaning till 8pm. It was a painful turn around for a charter I had to run today 😅
