Lido's leapfrogged over Filippi's on my list.
I've eaten at the Mira Mesa (many times over many years), Clairemont Mesa (recently), and Little Italy (ages ago) locations........
Lido's had the killer home made sausage, high mozzarella content in the cheese blend, and actually cooked it. The crust had just the right touch of crispiness.

I've heard good things about the Venetian since forever.
If I've eaten there it was a long time ago.
Is it just a couple/few blocks past the landings?

I've always wanted to try that place next to Squidco( Volare?) too. Any good?

Bronx Pizza on 1st and Washington San Diego, 2 slices any kind you want and a soda for 6 bucks. Thin crust with Ricotta cheese and mushrooms is my favorite, don't forget to sprinkle with the special garlic stuff on the table. But for a whole pizza all those listed above are excellent. Near the dock the best is Mona Lisa. I love pizza!

    A buddy
A fishing buddy of mine from NY(btw Keith your birds are a pain in the ass) raved all about that place. Later, I went to a football party potluck dealio and another NY buddy showed up with pizza from there that he drove all the way from the east end of El Cajon for..I tried it and thought it was mediocre at best. I'm not too into the NY style. I've always been amused at how New Yawkers think everything NY is better than here(except Mexican food).

I'm with Carl, Lido's is the best. Every pizza I get from there I have them add meatballs, can't go wrong. Their other food is killer too, the chicken and ribs is great. Also, they usually have some handmade special ravioli on the weekends that is always top notch.

Bronx is pretty good, but, you have to eat it right out of the oven. So unless you live in Hillcrest don't get it for carry out, it doesn't travel well.....

    Fillipi's is good.
I don't know why people think Lefty's is so special.

The dude next to me at Lido's ordered the ribs. They looked awesome.
I'll try the ravioli one of these times. I heart ravioli :loverz:

Lefty's is more of a deep dish all the others you mentioned are thinner crust pizza. I got to try Lido's heck it's just down the street from me.

There is a place called Waffles and Blues or something like that in Old Town.

Google; Blue Waffles in San Diego.

    You're welcome.

I think Greg has a kielbasa fixation... :D We buy the Margarita pizza from Costco and one of their roasted chickens. Pull the basil off, cook the pizza and add the basil and sliced chicken at the end. Good pizza for the price and plenty of left overs for the next couple of days... (unless Carl comes over)...

Disqualified! If you pick Fillipi's you need to go back and start over. Or just say you don't like pizza.
