    Hey Guys,
I've been out of action since the WTC. A few of my brothers out there have been aware of my leaving the WTC in hurry. I had a injury before the WTC that got very irritated. I thought I had blown out my shoulder again and went to the emergency room back in August. After going through the emergency room, shoulder specialist, and now a spine specialist. They have found out that I have 2 herniated disc in my neck (C3-C5) that's causing me a lot of problems in my right arm. I have lost a bit of use in my arm and have done the spinal injections and PT, which hasn't been very helpful. My surgeon is going to be scheduling me for surgery, hopefully it will be soon, I am waiting on approval from my HMO at this time so the Dr. can schedule it.

I'll be out of action for a while, DAMN this pisses me off!!!

Just a speed bump on the highway of life. You'll come back stronger and better, just listen to your Dr. and specialists, and you'll be back in no time.

Try and remain positive, no sense fretting over something you can't change. Use the down time to do something you've been meaning to do...........

Thanks again for all your work with the vets, and happy Veterans Day....

I'm doing just that, Dr. wants me in traction and bed rest, I've already had a week in the hospital during all this. I'm hoping for the same outcome.

I'm doing what he says this time lol. I'm trying to not let it bother me, but I have my days. I'm on bed rest and traction till the surgery.

The vets is what I am worried about, I'm not much help to them in my condition >:(

Thanks Todd. Hope I'm not to brotha. Dr. saying about 6-12 months major recovery and up to 3 years on therapy. I've always been a fast healer so I'm hoping for the best.

I might have to take you up on that offer as soon as I get my head out of the clouds.

Well for Fucs sake, you don't have to be a one man army......let us know if a vet needs help or if there is anything we can do....freedom is not free, and we owe our country to the vets..

Be it money, time, or boats.....I will do my best and I'm sure the BD'res will as well....

Damn Danny what the hell are they doing to you? I know a couple of guys that had back surgery for herniated discs and they were back in action within a few months.

They are going to remove 2 disc's and fuse the spine with steel plates and screws. It takes a while to grow the bone mass for the fusion to be complete. I asked the Dr. the same question, I am also dealing with cervical disc degeneration disease.

Sorry to hear about your injury Danny, I also have been OOC since the WTC but have already been in and had laminectomy surgery for the 3rd time, this time at L3-4 and the doc put off doing my L5-S1 surgery for at least 3 months till this one heals up altogether.
Although I don't know what the shoulder surgery and fusion will do for you I really hope you come out of it with flying colors (Not necessarily a rainbow though ;-) and get back to the ministry you enjoy so much.

If there is anyone I know that can come back from a devastating injury and be better off because of it its you my friend !!

I had heard that you were also out of action, I do hope your feeling better than the WTC. Allen, your a big part of our ministry we need you back brotha!

I'm hoping that this will help out some of the other issues that I have been dealing with from original shoulder injury 22+ years ago. I just might come back better like the six million dollar man lol. I'm just crossing my fingers

    Good luck Allen
