Whatsup guys, installing a Blue water systems bank tank soon. Had a question for people who have installed tanks before. When threading the bait pump onto the through hull seacock do you need to add anything to the threads to make it water tight? Any tips that will help me get it right the first time in terms of plumbing or making it water tight? Thank you

If you have the room put a 45 between the thruhull and the pump and point the output straight up to avoid air lock when backing down.If it metal to metal use tef tape or paste.Tom

Whenever possible I like to mount the pump off the thru hull and use a piece of hose from the pump to the thru hull. Quieter and you can use a bigger radius with the hose VS a hard 45/90 to get the pump in a good position as Tom suggests.

If it's metal to metal i use anti seize. It will come apart easily years later when you need to change something.
