Bait Cutter

I decided to build a new bait cutter today, I have a similar blade I use but the radius of the cutting edge was to much to get into the corners of a bucket. Material used is 17-4 stainless. Hopefully I can test it out tomorrow.

May want to dull that a tiny bit or you’ll slice into the bottom of the bucket. Or put a round slab of wood at the bottom

Was going to post the same thing. Around piece of the white plastic cutting board material would be better than wood.

Be careful of cutting the edges/sides of the bucket! Blood will seep everywhere! I use a wood wood bottom and a linolium chopper, The wood floats when you rinse the bucket!

Added a wrapped to the handle for a bit more gripes So far it cuts bait well.

For lobster. Probably won’t have great luck with artificial, but hell I haven’t tried it!

The subtle taper on the side should keep it off the side of the bucket. Wood is better in the bottom as it gives. Looks like a winner! ( if you don't chuck it out with the leftover bait!)
