Sorry- I tried to post earlier but I obviously screwed it up. Me and Matt and a couple buddies got back a week ago. Roads (at least HWY1) was in exellent condition. Few potholes after Chapala but lots of paving going on and better than I have seen in many years.

Fished South at Barnabe both days for medium sized yellows- biggest on the iron went about 25. Got an occasional pargo on the macs. Bait was easy at the launch ramp and no problems with wind.

We were searched twice on the way home at the checkpoints. They were professional and no issues. First check point I followed the guy searching around to make sure nothing was placed into my vehicle- no problem. Second checkpoint (last toll both on the way home) the guy didn't like me standing behind him and made all of use stand in front of the vehicle, I was a little nervous because the police were also there- but no problems.

Wait at San Ysidro on a thursday at 11am was about 45 minutes. Good luck with your trip and have a great time.
