Inshore Bahia Asuncion Fishing Report

Greeting from beautiful Bahia Asuncion. It's been awhile since I posted a fishing report as we just haven't had alot of guests visit due to Covid. Our season really doesnt get cracking until October and this year is no exception.

The calico& yellowtail bite is generally wide open with easy limits being caught jigging in most of the normal YT spots. The water temps are around the mid 70's so not quite warm enough for wahoo but a few tuna, grouper & black sea bass have been caught.

The shore fishing is fantastic as always with lots of halibut, corvina, corbina and some sand sharks thrown in for fun and tacos. Everything is open here with masks being required in stores only. The weather is beautiful and town is eager to receive visitors so come on down! Here are a few photos from the last few weeks.

Fishing is off and on this week..you have to work for yellowtail the last few days on an early bite. Our spearos were stoked with some nice fish....a 50 lb yellowtail and even heavier broomtail grouper...fattest one I have seen!
