Went on the Condor 1.5 day trips the last two weekends. Very good BFT fishing on both trips for fish from 25-90 lbs. Was fortunate to catch a limit from 40-70 lbs on the Dec. 3rd departure, fishing Tanner Bank zone. 25-30 lb fluoro for flyline and 50-60 lb for sinker bait setups on this trip. Some also hooked on jigs in grey light. Total of 39 fish for 31 anglers on the boat.
Second trip on Dec. 10 we limited out the sold out boat with BFT from 25-90 lbs. Was fortunate to get a limit again with some better grade fish from 40-90 lbs on flyline and sinker rigs. used 20-30 lb fluoro for flylining with good results and 60 lb fluoro for sinker bait bites, which were better grade fish that bit at 150-200 feet. This was despite the bad weather Thursday preceding the trip. Again we saw very good sign of fish, both smaller grade and larger ones at depth, but we had to head back and did not get to really focus on the larger marks we saw in the dark. Same scenario, a couple better grade on jigs, most on flyline and several better ones on sinker bait rigs.
They are still out there, so if you get a chance and weather allows, it's worth a shot.

Tight lines and Happy Holidays!
