Just wanted to give captain Greg and crew a big thank you. We went long looking for trophy’s but it didn’t happen for us. It definetly was not from a lack of trying. I believe total miles covered for the trip was 298 miles on a 1 1/2 day trip that left Wednesday night. We did not get back to tho dock until almost 11am today.

Greg was very informative and kept us updated where we were and why we were trying the area. I have never been on a boat that the captain gave the passengers such detailed information. I have been fishing out of San Diego for over 25 years.

Great captain. Great crew. Food was good and the drinks were cold. All we needed were some fish that wanted to play.

Can’t wait to ride the Aztec again.

The way captain Greg keeps his customers informed is almost unparalleled in my experience. Only on LR trips do I get such detailed game planning and updates. And that crew hustles from start to finish.

I haven't been on that boat for a while now, but learned a lot from Greg about fishing for big tuna on the trips we have taken on his boat..caught my first bluefin over 50 lbs and went on to get limits on the Pride.

1st trip on the Aztec, was the same very informative, but we were able to get 2 150's
On the kite that they split up among everyone on board. I knew I would back soon and the 2nd trip was one for the history books.
Nov.18th at the 60 we ended up 41 BFT From 130 - 180 pnds. And 3 YFT. I think everyone on board caught a personal best.

He definitely keeps you updated all day. He takes customer service to the next level. On the trip I was on Greg came down after dark and grabbed a freshwater hose and washed all the rods and reels in the racks down. Never seen any crew let alone the captain do that before.

Went out with them Monday night, fish Tuesday on a 1.5. First time and I will be back.

All baited up when we got on board.
    Meal plan with upfront pricing.
Straight up on what the plan would be, and lots of communication for the day.

We had easy passenger limits at the 60 in under an hour of fishing on schoolie Blues. Then went looking for grandes to fill the boat limit. Flew the yummy. Got one knock down on a 35ish Blue and then lots of looking.

I saw there was no count report on your trip... maybe because you came in so late? So what were the numbers? Nada?

No fish caught on our trip

But still had a nice time on the water

Nice to be able say at this point in my life that the catching of fish is not the highlight of the trip. Being on the water with some cool fellow fisherman, having some wind in my face and leaving all the stress at the dock. Makes the trip for me these days

I have caught more than my share of fish and now just enjoy being on the water.

So when the wind blows from the West the fish must bite the best.

AH yes , fished the AZTEC ,a truly fine craft with a good crew ! I will sign on another trip in 2018 , or a few more for that matter. Capt. was very helpful with the customers and the crew were spot perfect.

Both Aztec & pride are great boats, couple year back the pride had engine trouble in Mexican waters decided to limp back but stoped for fish at every chance caught my first Dorado gave us all a re-ride on the Aztec that night and limited out on YF
