What's the load? We get back that day from a 3 day, we have some that may just want to stay on the boat.

Hey Bull!
We fished the Islander together last fall. I am "your new buddy Ryan" from your post. Appreciate the feedback. This is my first go at this so let me take another stab at it.

The trip departs 7/22 at 9pm and returns 7/25 at 6am. The price of the charter is $15,500 plus $200 pp for meals and permits plus tip. We'd like to go with a load of 23-25 which would break down to (not including meals/tip):

22 anglers - $705 pp
23 anglers - $675 pp
24 anglers - $645 pp
25 anglers - $620 pp
26 anglers - $595 pp

We've currently got about 13 angler firm with like 25 maybes. Contract is going to be sent out any day and deposit is due 2/10. At this point its first come first served so if you and your crew want spots you've got em.

Hopefully that's clearer.

Ryan

Hey Ryan, we pm'd earlier. This definitely makes the cost more clear. Thanks. I'm having a hard time swallowing the $200 pp for meals (no pun intended). That seems like alot.

Think of it like this. $905 ish for a 2.5 on a bad ass boat with a not so big pax count. I don’t think the landings or bait companies get a cut of the food costs so although it may look funny, may be more profitable for the boat owners.

I’m wrong often so don’t quote me on that. I’m leaving for an 8 day on 8/6 or would be all over this. Hell. Still might jump on

For what it’s worth I have heard exceptional things about the food on this boat. We looked into Pegasus as well and it was basically the same as they separated food from permits and you don’t have to pay for parking at Seaforth. Bull, you would fit right in with this group!

Oat is one hell of a cook. You can check out his, or the Aztec Facebook page to see what you're getting. $200 for three meals a day and snacks is a steal. The disco tunes are always free.

It's a great boat with a great crew. I love fishing the Aztec!

    Hey fellas,
Just wanted to give an update. We still have a few spots left to fill and the deposit is due on Tuesday 2/14. We are aiming for a load of 24 anglers at $646 per person. If you want to pull the trigger and send in a 100% deposit by Monday night, your spot will be secured and the rate will be a little fluid. Anyone who wants to join after Monday, or who isn't prepared to pay the deposit in full, will need to pay a 50% deposit on a rate of $705 (based on a load of 22 anglers) to secure a spot. This rate is locked in and won't change regardless of how many anglers we end up with. In the event that we fill the charter with 24 anglers, the additional funds gathered from those who paid $705 will be spread evenly among those who paid the full deposit up front, so their trip will be a little cheaper. In the event that we don't hit our target, the additional cost will be spread evenly among those who paid the full deposit up front. We've agreed that this is a fair way to compensate those who risk putting the money up front. At the end of they day it seems very likely that we should hit our target...$650 or $700 for a 2.5 day plus meals/permits is a pretty good deal. Let me know if you're interested!
