Avet JX Raptor size comparison

Can someone tell me how the JX Raptor compares is size ( height x width) and capacity to the Penn TRQ40NLD2 reels?

I’m looking for a reel that’s faster lighter and smaller for YoYo and Wahoo bombs

I’ve not had the JX size Avets in my hand and was hoping they are what I’m looking for size wise
Pictures would be awesome if somebody actually owns both

It’s a size smaller. It’s the same size as a Talica 12 ot Saltiga 40. Holds 400 yds of 65# braid with a 50# top shot. Great size for yo-yo and Wahoo! The HXJ is the same capacity in a narrower/taller package.

I was hoping it was smaller as you described. The Penn 40 size reels are just too large to throw lures with IMHO. I'll be using them for Sinker rig and 50-60 bait.

Not with the newly released Gen 2 Fathom 40NLD…it is much Narrower & Lighter compared yo the gen 1.

The JX Raptor to me is very versatile, I have 2.

Fly Line (50 lb for me)
Bombs
Surface Iron, but not ideal
Yo Yo - my favorite use

Jx Ratpor is what you want. Perfect size for yo-yo and casting medium to heavy jigs.

I have a JX 6/3 for 40# and the JX Raptor for 50#. The Raptor is great for flyline, slow trolling, yo-yo and dropper loop from a panga at Cedros!
