The yellowtail fishing has continued to be stellar for the past week here in Bahia Asuncion. The wind kept me and my little tinny off the water for a couple days but easy limits on every day that I could get out. Some bruises in the mix also, with 4 over 40 lbs in the last week. Today I hit the same area that I've been working and caught 3 yellows before it turned into Bonito City. Took a 5 mile jaunt to another high spot and had my Deadhead jig sucked up on the drop in 170 ft of water. I knew it wasn't a yellow but I was thinking grouper or Black Sea Bass. To my surprise, it turned out to be this nice 54 pound croaker.
