hello everyone, I don’t post much but I fish a ton in 9/10. Took the wife out yesterday in 10 for some pink action. She doesn’t care much for fishing but she’ll go if the action is non stop. Perfect recipe for fun. I rig her up with a white/green flasher and a pink ace hi jr and drop down to 65’. While I turn around and set my rod up to drop I’m constantly watching her rod because I know it’s already been too long.. as expected fish on. She grabs the rod and starts the fight. Fish over the rail and it’s a nice just under 7 lb coho. I drop her back down and am able to get mine down too this time and as soon as my butt hits the seat to steer us she’s got another fish on, as expected, pinks.. next thing you know the fish puts on a show 50’ out jumping left and right and I get a look at it. It’s another ocean ho, bigger this time. Get it in the boat and it’s knocking on 8#. Took all of maybe 10 minutes and the day was done.

Here’s why I’m posting though. Has anyone ever seen this in a coho’s stomach? I think it’s a baby lingcod? Not certain. It was 8ā€ long, round and fat. First time I’ve seen it personally. Thanks everyone and good luck out there.
