My wife gave me a budget of 50K per year for the last 10 years. Before that I had what they called a job and didn't have the time to fish 100 days a year. I am cutting down on the long range but might try other places in the world to fish. I am eying lizard Island and might try peacock fishing in Panama. But I will always have the love for fishing on the long range boats. I have yet to find long range type fishing like we have anywhere in the world.

That is what is special about Long Range fishing. It is not just about the fishing but meeting new people for a long enough time in a confined space to get to know them and build friendships. Nothing else like it.

What is even worse - I have West Coast LR gear. And East Coast Inshore and offshore gear for when I fish on this coast.

    Nuts. Totally.
