I believe the 30 was yesterday. First day of a 2 day. Still fishing today. Eclipse had 6 by 9 am yesterday also. Did not see how they finished.

They actually ended up with 26 tuna for a two day. They also had 45 yellows. Still not a bad trip at all.

Curious if there was any size to either the tuna or presumably the paddy yellows. Also curious to see what the eclipse comes in with today.

So they report 30 and still fishing on 976, then they take down the post and return to the dock with 26??? Sounds like 976 jumping the gun to me.

I just got home from the 2 day on the Apollo. We found the bulk of the YFT close to sunset at 80-90 miles. We would get 2-3 on a jig strike and the a few on bait. Very line shy. The guys using 15-20 lb and got a bait in on the slide got bit. Most fish were 20-25lb. Also saw 4-5 massive spots of foaming BFT 20 miles South of the South Island. Beautiful blue water. All we could do was watch as we drove past! One of the toughest things ever. I felt bad for the captain... Nothing we could do.
