Anyone use Jigging Master reels for bigger tunas?

Just curious if anyone down there uses JM reels for the 150# and up tunas down there. Looking at a PE8 or PE10 reel.

Eventually I want to make it down there so just gearing up. Will be putting on 100 or 130# braid with 25yds of mono or fluro (100-300 depending) for jigs.

The drags on the old 500 is probably less than 10pds.

    Those reels look cool web site looks fate - I didn't see any reel spec on drag etc .... Never head of them.

    I think they are a Taiwanese company. They have an English version website in Taiwan as well


    I think those PE8-10 reels he is talking about start at 40# of drag at strike and probably cost about a grand.

    I have a few JM reels. Much smaller to fish albacores. My Trinidads collect dust now. I know other parts of the world guys get big fish on them but i havent seen any videos of 200# fish yet.
