    anybody heard of any sharks being caught thresher or mako around ive heard afew rumors but nothing solid thought i would ask the pros?

    yes i have heard threshers in the carlsbad canyon not seen any just heard

    The water offshore is much improved in its color... opens up the possibility of playing with some makos, albeit probably on the small size.

    Radio report of two threshers being hooked at the LJ weather bouy saturday but I don't know if I believe it or if it was radio fish. The fact he said they released one and lost one so no pics makes me think about the validity of the report.

    commercial guys have been getting them under the bait balls
    between upper 9 and lj weather bouy.
    going out friday to see if that is the case.
