I'm trying to get some photos of live or freshly dead flyers from clemente or catalina. Does anyone have any? If memory serves me correctly, they seem to look a lot more vibrant than the frozen ones.

These are great photos, but they look different than the Clemente/Catalina flyers. I'd like to see the coloring on live or freshly dead flyers from socal waters. Anyone got photos of those?

    Any one that floats.
I don’t care where they’re from, BFT love them. Got a freezer full myself.

If you touch or click the picture on post 2 it will give you a nice color shot.

Seems like like maybe the color of the back is not really that important. Dangled from a kite or a balloon, dancing on the surface, the belly is white..
Exactly, the BFT see the silhouette on the surface and instinct kicks in. The rubber flyer was deployed on our last trip, it got bit.........but didn’t stick.

A potential lesson to learn from all other forms of lure fishing is sometimes the lifelike lure isn’t the best one. Not sure who is going to go out on a limb and make a black flyer or hot pink one...

These were at Clemente in late October this one is live. It’s actually a video but I can’t figure out how to get it to post even cutting the length down.

With large swell with Tunas on the surface. They can see the top of the bait. When the bait is in the trough and the tuna is in the swell. Or when the bait rolls

There are fluorescent fake flyer colors
