Looking for a passenger.interested party to go down with me to Camas Washington on October 21st for a good part of the day.

I inquired about Furuno's new doppler radar and the open array radar that has fast target tracking. They are setting up a demo for me to test.

Anybody interested? I am sure we can poke them for some future product info?

Whatever you do, please don't bring up any safety concerns that you may have with their products.

    Sorry, couldn't help myself. :D

Too close to Portland- they might send me there.

I am really excited to learn about their new stuff. Don't really get a good idea of how it works when you are messing with at a show.

if they want, I'll demo an open array for them, and give feedback. I wont even charge them to put it on my boat and do the testing.

    Howard,

I'd love to join you. I have been relying on a Furuno Radar many nights over the past few months and would love to see whats in development. You got an invite - I got the time. I just need to doublecheck with the other Captain to be sure there are no conflicts on 10/21

Why don't we take the Double Trouble around the long way?

Coleman dock sounds perfect. Looking forward to it.

I'd look for at least a family size jug of bourbon for your efforts.

Hey Howard. If you still have room I'd love to go. Furuno is the only gear I used for the last 30 years

Jeff you are welcome to come if you can get to my house about 6am on Friday. I committed to being in Camas at 930 or so.

Neither of my vehicles have large back seats, but I still have room for 1-2 more. Most likely taking the FJ cruiser

Howard, what is the report on Furuno. I am looking at replacing all the electronics on the boat with either Garmin or Furuno.

    I was sworn to secrecy...

Actually it was a privilege to go down and ask about 1000 stupid questions. I will pm you with my thoughts.

I took off my 4kw dome and am still waffling about a hope of solid state open array before March, but I doubt it. The Furuno NXT dome is amazing.
