That’s a bummer. Hopefully they will have one at the FHS to play with at least.

I picked up a silver 15T yesterday. From what I heard from a few vendors, there was only a handful available for each. I went to one vendor that only had one silver that was sold and two (I heard someone at Okuma booth refer to it as gunsmoke) gunmetal. The vendor next to them had one which I bought. Got a pretty nice free Okuma jacket for the purchase as well.

According to an Okuma video, it holds 460 yards of 65# braid and 32#'s of drag at strike with freespool. Really nice compact reel. Seems to be close to the same size of the Talica 12ii. Anyone else handle one? Thoughts?

its more between talica 16 and 20 in capacity. It will hold at least 600yds jb60hc and the talica 12 holds about 450yds

Sam has one at the Island Tackle booth - but I believe only 1, in silver. Nice reel...

So would you say it's close to a Fathom 40NLD2?

I bought one yesterday from Sands. Got a great deal. I can say it's beefy as hell. I haven't spooled it with line yet so I can't confirm its capacity. I'm planning on putting 65lb on it and pair it with a UC Predator. Should make for a killer light weight versatile 60lb set-up
Size wise it's definitely smaller than the Mak16. I'll try and get a couple pics this morning with it next to the Mak10 and a 16 for reference.

Looks like basically a beefier 40N or Andros 16 or so. Would make a nice “light” bluefin reel, although I think I’d prefer a 16 for most of the situations. Perfect heavy bait at Lupe reel.

If it has the capacity of a Talica 16ii or the Fathom 40N that would be great. I've looked at it side by side with my Talica 12ii and they both look to have the same width. I'm assuming it's the taller frame of the 15T that gives it more capacity.

I'm thinking a yoyo reel for sure. It feels so much better in my hand than a Fathom 40N.

They didn't have the specs on the 15T at the Okuma booth but were estimating it to hold 100 yds more than the existing 15.

I took a few shots of what I have from the top and side for comparison.

It would be nice to see the 15T against the Talica 16ii and the Fathom 40N, but I don't own either.

A Talica 16 is just a wider 12, so the side plate view would be the same. A Fathom 40N is almost identical in size to the Andros 16, which to me seem the same as the Mak15T. Either way, that's a hell of a yoyo reel, poor yellows wont even get an inch. I feel bad for anything less than 75lbs I hook with my Mak10. The power of these reels in undeniable.
