I'm a lifelong Redskins fan. Just wondering how many other BD'ers are too?

I know there's a good population of us around SD. I've been able to catch a Skins game with fellow fans at Winston's in OB and then go out and catch some fish too. For some trips I've purposely planned it that way, probably not the best formula for tuna, but I didn't want to miss the game. A couple of years ago I caught the beginning of the McNabb era while onboard the Constitution.

Winston's is a really cool place to catch the game, absolutely loaded with Skins fans, they have raffles with cool prizes (even free shots,) and they play HTTR when we score. Also, they mute commercials and play music; sweet!

I am a hardcore Redskin and Charger fan.

My favorite player of all time is Riggins.

My neighbor here in SM was best friends with Mel Kaufman. Linebacker for the Skins in the 80's. Great guy and it was a pleasure hearing first hand stories from him doing that great Redskin run in the 80's. He past away a couples years ago in San Luis Obispo. He was the linebacker coach at Cal Poly.

    He will be missed.

My favorite Redskin play of all time was watching Joe the mouth Thiesman getting his getaway stick snapped, too bad it wasn't his jaw.

According to Mel, Joe was not the best licked player at the time. As a kid though, I thought he was the best QB of all time. So that hit by LT still makes me cringe. I can't watch it even til this day.

Vermonster: It's been more like 20 YEARS! We won the SB in 1992 ('91 season.)

Bizzy: It's kinda hard to call a team your bitch that SWEPT YOU LAST YEAR. 2 of our 5 wins came from your little guys.

That's freakin awesome man, I remember Kaufman! Badass.
I knew there had to be a few of us!
So what did you think yesterday when Griffin tackled the defender who picked up the fumble? Man I cringed, you know the Shanny's had to too.

There are a lot of stories out there about Riggo and Theismann not getting along, even arguing on the field, but mostly kept that stuff to themselves. In this day and age, some WR's, ahhhem, R. Moss, get their pantys all bunched up if everybody doesn't tell them how great they are.

Saluki: Does your dislike of Theismann go all the way back to his playing days, or Heisman or just his on air personality? I can see why people could dislike him as an analyst, but otherwise I'm not sure why....I'm not quite old enough to remember much of him, just the '83 SB win and '84 SB loss.
