I talked to Fred on the DD. He's down for a jig trip.
I'm trying to set this up for next month.
Is there interest in a trip during the week? This would be a half day trip.
Just so mangina hairs don't get macramed together.
YOU CAN USE BAIT IF YOU NEED TO.
Please let me know your thoughts or concerns.

This is a great idea! I’ve been working on something like this for the upcoming summer. Imagine the plethora of jigs!!
I'm trying to put together something like this also. I'm thinking about a 1.5 day to Cortes/Tanner. I'd definitely be interested in joining your trip if you have any space.

That sounds fun Mike! A bit early but you never know. Might have to bust out the Kencor glass 9'. I'll keep watching this thread.

Hopefully the bait tank will not have a deckhand. I sure wouldn't stand up there. A little excitement and everyone looses their mind.

Hook my jewels and send it. o_O Kinda like a squid trailer on plastic..

Casting a jig for what?? Mackerel, blacksmith perch and some sculpin if your lucky!
Bait is allowed. So what's the prob now

Theres always casting for practice and broism time. Then there are those who fish the long rod when the fish are only biting nails for fun. And they never really learn properly and can't cast surgically far when its needed. Because they are not die hards. No worries. Most would not be interested in a fly fishing trip

Its much more challenging to be a good fisherman or good surfer or most any sport in one area specific. When only partakeing when its good or easy. Practice before the big game. Yah know

I sure do enjoy catching sculpin with a long rod and a small heavy jig or plastic. 10 feet of sweeping along the bottom. Using the swell boat lift and arm length that's allot of play to work with, slow and low with tempo. Also enjoy catching sandbass with a jig and a 10 footer. If that bums anyone out, bummer. Shallow water bottom jigging with a 10 footer is very effective. Fishing swimbaits with a long rod or small heavy jigs semi shallow. Nothing new.

If that's what's necessary
