Ok, so I bit the bullet and have an Alps wrapper, blanks and components on the way....now time to buy some thread. Any guesses as to this thread color on this wrap? I’m pretty minimalist when it comes to colors and I dig this grayish color. I’m trying to narrow it down, but since I’m brand new to this, hoping someone could help me get close so I can avoid buying 10 spools of gray to find “the one”. Still may have to, but figured I’d ask...

Happy 4th! 🇺🇸

I have some Holland thread that looks close but i doubt that's the same stuff that's on the rod.I also have some Pacbay GM gray but it looks darker than what you have.

I need a ride.
I got 2 gray colors on my phone.

Top is one i bought from seeker, its a pro wrap nylon 4oz spool. I can get the part number if you want.

Bottom is prowrap as well, but its a color protected thread.

Which one?
Other than a throw away brush, thread is just about the cheapest supply you can buy. Do yourself a favor and pop for an assortment. Most companys will have box of mixed colors available. I'd be willing to bet that you will drop the "minimalist" bit after a couple of rods come off all the expensive stuff you just bought!!-

Haha! Very true! I’m actually sitting on a cart that is loaded with thread....haven’t clicked the checkout button because I keep adding more. And so it begins.....🙂

That looks like ProWrap nylon (not ncp) color number 831 smokescreen. If that isn't the exact color, it will be mighty damn close.

Awesome! Thanks Jim, I’m pretty sure I put that one in my cart.
