July after ICCAST for the 12.

    16 - August some time.

I had both of them in my hands this week as well as the Metaloids. Nice pieces. The 16 could be a wahoo killer with 58" of pick up.

I'd guess the metaloid is below the Andros. There already isn't that much of a price diff between the Andros and Mak; can't see them squeezing another level in there. Definitely room on the lower end, though!

Can't wait! Just fished my Andros 5 for WSB yesterday. Kept winding a couple times when the fish went on a run because it was so smooth I didn't realize line was going out instead of in!

The Metaloid has an unbelievable finish for its very attractive price point. The frame feels a little difference than an Andros and the reel is not as smooth but it has all the right components. Better thrust bearing, silent AR nice handle and 15# of drag at strike with minimal bind.

The price point is right on them. The fit and finish is excellent for what they are going to cost.

I used the 2 Andros 12 high speed prototypes in May, they worked wonderfully for me. Fishybuzz will be testing the same two reels soon.

Okuma....Love at first sight. If you check out the "New" Androsll Reels, You will want and buy them. I saw them kast week and they will be releasing them after ICAST. Another "must have" reels for sure. I even saw a Makaira 130ll. there. Great things happening at Okuma...get ready...they are moving on up in the right direction.

Is it a wide version of the 12 or a true 16 size?

Cerdos 10S $290, Cedros 10L Was $400, Andros 12IIa About $370 to $390, and Metaloid 12II $300. These new reels are far superior to a 10S, look at the spec's. Great values, I can't wait to get mine!

Will the Andros 5II still be made? Where do the new Metaloids fall in place? Between Andros and Maks?
