This is how American Airlines treated my Moons Custom United Composites Invictus and Viper rods. Far from safe in a Flambeau Bazuka.

Terrible. Two beautiful sticks too......That's just not cool there.......They need to make you whole that is BS. i'd be showing those pics to the "Flambeau" peeps too, with a complaint on the product's protective capabilities. Is the top closed or does the photo show some fabric "top"?

Ouch, sorry Noli. Nic showed me pics of the tube when we landed yesterday and knew it was not going to be good. The bazuka was mangled. Hopefully they make it right.

Dude. They opened it, emptied it, threw it on the ground, parked a truck on the handle and pulled! WTF! No Way!

I used a bazooka tube once. It’s 3 or 4” abs homemade tubes now.

I had to fly into Dallas and it came off the conveyor in three pieces! I threw a tantrum and realized that these poor people had no part in this. what you see on the end was my attempt to secure the load with a piece of cardboard and some tape.

Plus my Pelican case was hammered too! They didn’t secure the handle and ripped it off of there. I had to tape that up too!

I'm confident that AA will make this right, but if they don't, shoot me a message I think I can help.

    Wow. just, eh, wow. :shake:

Volaris somehow managed to ruin just the tip of one of my Saltydawg sticks.....which I can't figure out how they did it, unless they dropped it on it's end, vertically...............from about 20'. Other 3 rods in the tube were fine.....

I think I'm going to go back to my old ABS home-made tube as well. Heavy but pretty bulletproof.

    Good luck with the airline.

In the past, we secured our rods to a 1x2 piece of wood - the wood is longer than the longest rod. It will prevent the tube from collapsing and the tips from jamming and getting broken.
