    Short report: Caught fish

Long Report: Left SD Bay @ 9:15am with a nice 1/4 scoop of dines (gave us a 1/2 but in a 20 gallon bait tank...well you know). Comfortable 16 knts out with grease conditions. Got to the islands at 10am and headed straight to the Middle Grounds off bird shit and started slow trolling dines. The fleet was parked off of South. Saw huge meter marks everywhere we went and if they were at 50 ft and above, we got bit. Metered a gargantuan school of Calicos that could have kept us busy for hours but we were looking for Tails. About 30 min later we had a double, 1 Yellow and 1 Bone. Fished the Middle Grounds for 4 Yellows for about 3 hrs and then got 1 heading up to Pukey about 100 yards from the point.

    Everything on dines
    5 Yellows 12-20 lbs
    2 Bonito 4 & 6 lbs
10 Calicos 3-6 lbs Yellowtail 6-22.jpg Yellows 6-22.jpg Marinated Grilled Yellowtail with Sesame, Soy Sriracha Rice.jpg

Dogs were not really much of an issue, only occasionally.
Sporties were on the radio saying that they limited on smaller grade and were searching for better quality.

Not bad for a 15 ft aluminum.

P.S. - Used 8 gallons of gas with the motor running the entire time, HEHE!!

It's a 15' Klamath with a 40 4 stroke Honda. Handles great but with gear, a 20 gallon bait tank and a big cooler, it only fishes 2 comfortably when going outside. We ran a comfortable 16 knots out and back and 18 knots in the bay. Going to need a bigger cooler next time!!!

Did you need to get the Nautical FMM since your boat is 15 feet?
