Have not seen any posts on Albacore Yet??? Seems to me off "rough recollection" that there's Albies swimming off our WA Ports by 1-2 weeks into July? Anyone out there, Commies/Rec's finding fish? Looking to do my first trip off Westport/Ilwaco 13/14th or 20/21st if "sea-state" allows????

    What say you gents????

Usually a friendly hello and a picture of your boat, fish and girlfriend will get you a better response. Just a fair warning that you may try again before you get hammered for showing up to the party unknown and asking where the beer is......just sayin’

Been cooning ‘em. Loading them up like cord wood.

There are no tuna in WA.

Most years the tuna have showed up by now, but not all years. Some years they might not show at all. Ask the Cali guys.

Check out All Rivers and Saltwater Charters Facebook page. They will post pics of they find them.

The commercial fleet was grouped up like they were doing business a couple days ago about 80 miles off coos bay, but they have since scattered. A couple boats as far north as the Columbia, but 200ish miles out and all off on their own. Its gonna be a minute I think. Looks like quite a few boats are still tied up.

    .
Commercial boats are all south and 200 miles off shore from what I have read and there have been nearly ZERO caught anywhere in Oregon by sport boats so far this year, not a good sign for early tuna fishing IMO.

I watched two tuna boats come into the bait dock last night and tie up. Billie Marie headed out Saturday. For her to leave the dock, they have to be getting closer. Tani Rae has been filling up all the bait pens.

One boat was the McKenzie Rose. Saw Svetlana from San Diego of the mouth of the Columbia heading to wetport. She has some well endowed tanks on her stern. I believe Ed at the fuel dock will have great Intel soon.

I've been watching them via an AIS web site. Most of the guys that have their AIS on are Canadian. They have been really scattered. I gassed the boat up this morning (Westport) and asked the guys if they had any tuna intel from the big guys that have been coming in. He said it's been bad. The guys have been all over, one as far as the dateline with not much found....yet. Hope those things start flapping their tails.

Yes. They were on float 6 a couple of weeks ago. Slutvana and one other were. Saw the heading back to wp on AIS.

Both headed WSW out of the harbor. Svetelana M was almost due W. They turned their AIS's off so can't track them now.
