Enjoyed the Huntington Air Show last weekend with about 400 other boats off the pier, good times. In the morning ran into a boiling school of these fellas near the breakwall. Snagged this one dragging a colt sniper through the school. What is it? Thick big scales, blunt nose. no teeth. Had a hawk diving on them too. No seagulls though! They were jumping clear out of the water. About one to two pounds each. Any ideas??

At first it I thought I kind of looked like a flier with no fins, or some jacked up smelt....

But then I recall snagging mullet as a kid.
