    got an ahi Friday est.#120 around 600 fathoms between S and Barbers Point on a blueberry Shiroma behind a large moldcraft bird...nice looking bird action around the barge and S, and outside the 500...2:30 bite

    Thanks for the post Eric. I was going to head to the 2500 until I read your post. Changed my mind at the last minute and got my double today. Much closer and still have half my fuel.

    cool - the internet is good for something after all...
    I'm not doing ahi fever this year, but I bet it goes off!

    tight lines,

    it was a classic...I was in the head giving it a real good test, auto pilot on, others (9 total on the boat that day) were taking a group photo while the reel went off...good thing it was well hooked...

    Nice, that probably made the clean up quick for you! Bathroom breaks and naps usually draw strikes.
