Acid Wrapped Zeus-4

I'm looking to build 2 acid wrapped UC Zeus-4's. They'll probably be paired with either Talica 12's or BV-600's. This is my first time building a jigging rod and I'm wondering about guide layouts. I'm thinking a reversed fuji LC 10 for the strippers, then 6 size 10 KW's. I'll be using 80lb braid and 80-100lb wind-ons. Does that guide train sound right for these blanks and my usage?

Finished up the first one, I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. I’m a new builder and not super thrilled with the epoxy job but it’s a definite improvement over my last builds. I also did something a bit different with the grip. I love the feeling of cork but not it’s propensity for crumbling, so I used short premade grips and supplemented them with cork take wrapped in shrink wrap. I’ll build #2 the same way, then I have a Zeus 6 to build as a heavy stand up rod and after that will be 2 thrasher crowbar heavy’s that will be built with bent butts to fish out of a rod holder for giant bluefin.

You will love the Trasher in that configuration. I acid wrapped the 7'6"H and used it for night time jigging last season and it performed beautifully easily landing bf in the 50-60# range. I can't wait to hook up on a triple digit fish with this setup and really give it a work out. Very powerful blanks. Good work!
