    Hello,

I have a Valiant 300 arriving Monday and I'm going to run 40lbs Power Pro solid. Anyone know the capacity for 40lb PP? I've seen people say anywhere from 225 to 300 yards depending on what braid you use. Anyone actually know from a Valiant that they have had spooled?

    Thanks,

    Chris

I put 300yd of 40lb Suffix 832 on this, so you should be able to put at least that much 40lb PP on this reel.

    Hello,

I got my reel and was kinda surprised to see that the spool on the Valiant 300 is the same size as my Fury 400 narrow. I expected it to be smaller being a 300 vs a 400N with the way Accurate is doing the sizing on its new reels. It's much smaller overall then the Fury 400N but to the naked eye the spools look the same size. I got 325 yards of 40lbs Powerpro on the Fury so I'm guessing I'll get the same on the Valiant. I can't wait to try the Valiant out! It's incredibly light and such a small package.

That Fury 400N has been such a good reel, landed fish much larger then I expected it could. Of all the 30lbs setups I've had over the years it's been the most enjoyable to use. You can throw irons all day and because it's so light your not burned out. The Valiant has everything I like so much about the Fury 400N but in a much smaller and lighter package, more drag is just a bonus.

    Thanks guys,

    Chris

sounds like you got your answer. Its 300 to 325 of 40lb depending on braid manufacturer.
