Lol seems a little extreme...
Maybe. But it's chicken crap that a company like accurate that Prides itself on having a made in USA product would have Chinese rods. Quite frankly I find it insulting and the fact they want to charge a premium like their reels is even more chicken crap. At least the POS's at Okuma price their Chinese rods at a reasonable price.
Accurate are a business who make great products BUT first and foremost a business.
Plenty of good rods are currently being made in China BUT if their business decisions offend you go with another brand.
Personally don't think it's necessary to badmouth them in here.
Just my opinion tho...
I like Accurate reels and have owned many over the years BUT having said that I feel its OK to use an open forum such as this to voice your personal opinion.
We are grown men and will support whichever companies we choose to regardless of most peoples likes or dislikes of particular products.
This forum also allows us the abilty to become wiser shoppers & better educated spenders of our hard-earned money from all the knowledge we accrue here .
Yeah can't argue with that Gerry...
Personally, I would pay a premium for an Accurate label rod made in the US.
Has everybody forgotten where Phenix rods come from?
China that's why I will never buy a Phenix rod.
Do they make rods for left handers?
Yeah, China... just like the phone or computer you’re posting from.
Yes, all of the Valiant rods can be used by left handers! (I speak from personal experience!)
How about Black Hole Rods?
I saw one in person and thought it looked good. For me, I think there are other rods in the $300 price range that may be better. It's like buying a car without a test drive.
Just curious Ben as your one of the SPJ’s expert guyz....what’s your take on this Accurate’s New SPJ rod? Tia.
I think the layout of the rods is right - guide and grip-wise. I prefer a very slow action blank, with a slow and deliberate recoil. The Valiant series are a bit too fast-action for me.
Thanks for the fast and honest thought Ben!
