    I have had some spools of wrapping thread do that. It's never a good time ahead...
    At least thread is cheaper than Spectra. I can just toss the spool in the trash and move on.

    Yeah, got it out of the bargain bin at fred hall...600 yards of tufline 80 lb. hollow. I was able to salvage most of it in one long piece with a couple of short pieces I had to cut off initially. Maybe use for some wind-on material or to splice onto some reels with solid to make a connecting point for a knotless 40 or 50 lb. mono topshot...

    yeah..your right...all the spools I picked up are probably garbage...i just threw them away...LOL
